Hi Beth - we are both doing so well and going home in the next hour from the hospital 🙂 Jamie’s steady presence and education before labor were vital in our ability to make decisions, trust them, and navigate changes to our birth preferences. She made the experience positive, made us both feel supported and advocated for us after delivery to ensure we were heard along each step! I’m sure we’ll experience difficult minutes and hours daily, and I feel that Jamie really cared for and listened to our goals through the uncertainty of the birthing journey. I wish that all women were offered doula services as partners through pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum!
We finally decided pretty late in pregnancy that we wanted to get a doula. Heart Tones took us on quickly and warmly! Alex was incredible, genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. Also late in pregnancy, my baby flipped breech and it was a whirlwind deciding how to proceed. I wanted to try for vaginal breech delivery as a FTM. It was a very emotional and challenging time for me to coordinate it, but Alex made me feel supported in my decisions, sent me great resources, and normalized the breech birth experience. Her support during my labor was everything I needed to get through it without an epidural! Her support kept me focused on letting my body take the lead and the delivery was a success! It was also great for my husband to have someone with him when things got crazy at the end. It was a huge relief to him that he could go be with the baby when we were separated and know that Alex was with me for recovery. Long story short, it was exactly what we needed and we are so glad Heart Tones was able to take us on with such short notice! Get a doula with Heart Tones, it is absolutely worth it!
I had such a positive experience with Heart Tones! The team was incredibly supportive, caring, and professional throughout the process. They create a safe, affirming environment for all kinds of families and bring so much knowledge and compassion to their work. It truly was a gift to work them both during birth and afterward for postpartum support. I would highly recommend Heart Tones to anyone looking for a doula!
Heart tones was amazing to work with! Beth was quick to respond and get things scheduled/set up for us. Aleece was an amazing doula and I couldn’t have imagined our birth experience without her support. 10/10 recommend their services!
Working with Aubrey through Heart Tones was one of the best things we did for my postpartum journey! Our first night working with her was the night we got home from the hospital and she was an incredible part of my care team right off the bat. She is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and a genuinely sweet person. She's so important to us and our baby girl! Thank you Heart Tones and especially to Aubrey.
My first birth was in the pandemic with zero support to village, the second time around I knew I wanted support. Heart Tones was there through my pregnancy and we heavily utilized their post partum doula services after my c section. Our PP doula had a background in occupational therapy which came in handy in helping me get out of bed and move comfortably post surgery. She sent me videos of how to move and set up my room to work better for us. From laundry to meal prep to lactation support or just watching the newborn so we could go out, I can’t speak highly enough of this service. I wish I could keep them forever!
I can't say enough good things about my experience with Heart Tones! From the initial call to the last hug goodbye, everything exceeded expectations. I had the pleasure of working with Haley as my main postpartum doula, but also worked with Johanna as well. Both were extremely knowledgable, kind, and made this transition into motherhood so much easier than it would have been otherwise. My husband, baby, and I are so lucky to have this kind of support. Would highly recommend!
Between Beth and Meredith they made this experience everything and more. I got a little avoidant and waited until the last moment to find a doula even though I knew it was what I wanted. Luckily I have the BEST best friend and she submitted a request for me. Beth immediately text me recognizing how soon I was do and found someone willing to jump in. Lucky for me, it was Meredith. The knowledge in the “pre” meeting she walked my partner and I through all the way to helping me latch for the first time was so comforting as a first time Mom. Thank you thank you! I highly recommend going with heart tones and asking for Meredith. They know what they’re doing and they CARE.
We had a great experience with Heart Tones! We were referred by two different couples who'd used Heart Tones for the birth of their kids, and they were right to recommend them. Beth worked with us to match us with a doula who could support our values and priorities for the birth of our daughter. As first-time parents, it was wonderful to have the support of a doula--someone who'd gone through this process dozens of times and could lend her wisdom and experience. Because my husband is sensitive to the sight of blood, it was important for us to have a doula who could support me during labor at times when he wouldn't be able to step in. Meredith, our doula, was fantastic, even when the induction ramped up much faster than expected and she had to rush to the hospital in the middle of the night. She helped with positioning when it was time to push, supported me with affirmations and coaching, and overall brought a warm, calming presence to the birth of my daughter.
My doula, Alex, was a dream. If I didn't have her coaching me and my husband through a natural birth I think I would have needed an epidural. She always reminded me to breathe deeply and fully and to listen to my body. She also educated us on how many options we had. I felt so much more prepared and was able to really be in the zone. I highly recommend Heart Tones and Alex.
We were lucky enough to work with Meredith as our birth doula and we couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. She was so supportive, pulling any resources we requested, hopping on the phone to discuss birth options, and overall seriously BOOSTING my confidence in giving birth without medication. In addition, the owner, Beth, was also extremely helpful and made herself available if we had questions. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive birth team and I'm so happy we made the decision to bring on a doula with Heart Tones. We plan to have more kids in the future and I've already told Meredith she better be available! I would recommend Heart Tones to anyone who is expecting a child soon, they are all fantastic, inclusive, and jump through hoops to make sure all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are are great as they can be. Thank you, Heart Tones!
We had an absolutely amazing experience with our doula Alex with Heart Tones Birth Services. She really helped guide us through our first time birth experience, and really rolled with us through all the punches and changes! Including a moved induction date with only a weeks notice and a very long labor! She made us feel supported and really went to bat for us throughout. I wish there was a way to give more than five stars!
We had a great experience with Aubrey for postpartum doula services! She helped us start off right as first time parents and enabled us to rest.
We loved Aleece as our doula! Wow she was really awesome! She taught us a lot about what to expect with the whole process. She was a great communicator and had a ton of knowledge to help us learn about birth. I loved how in tune she was with us throughout everything. We absolutely loved her! Her energy was great, her gentle touch was so calming, she was so helpful and we felt like we could talk to her about anything. 10/10 would recommend!
We used Heart Tones to hire a postpartum doula and always received very thoughtful, high quality care from this team! Our doula was AMAZING and Hearttones as an agency was always very communicative and professional. Definitely reccomend!
Absolutely great doulas here. I love their labor and postpartum services so much. My doulas Aleece and Aubrey were just simply amazing. Heart tones birth services gives you the best👌
We had such an amazing experience with Candace and Karen! They provided much needed support, guidance and care for our newborn that allowed us to get some sleep and learn a ton as first time parents. Highly recommend Heart Tones!!
Absolutely wonderful, supportive, and comforting! Highly recommend Beth and her team. We were grateful to have Heart Tones Birth postpartum support for our second kiddo.
We had the best experience with our doula, Jorie. She really enriched the birth experience of our daughter Helen. The birth experience was life changing and very special, and Jorie had a huge part in making everything go smoothly with the least amount of stress possible. I love how she informed us of all of the options for the birth plan ahead of time with our one on one sessions, so that when it came to delivery day all decisions were made and all we had to do was hand over the birth plan on a single piece of paper and the nurses knew what to do from there. When I was in early labor and laboring at home, it was so nice having Jorie there answering my phone calls late at night to help guide us in next steps and instill confidence in us for what was to happen next. When we were at the hospital, I really appreciated Jorie meeting us there. She has these natural instincts where she knows exactly what to do to help show care for Ben and me and to help me feel as comfortable as possible without even saying anything. She made sure we had music, the lights were dim, essential oils in the air, and making sure I was eating and drinking water. It’s nice to look back on Helen’s birth experience and to feel empowered as individuals and to feel stronger and more connected as a couple. Hiring Jorie was one of the best decisions we made during my pregnancy and I am extremely grateful!
My husband and I are so happy we chose Heart Tones! Our doulas Jamie and Haley have both been truly amazing and so helpful. They are both so warm, caring, kind, have great advice, and have taken so much stress and anxiety off our plates postpartum as well. They are also both so great with our baby. We trust them so much and are so grateful for our experience with them ❤️
Heart Tones Birth Services is incredible! Compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to empowering families through pregnancy and birth. Their support, expertise, and personalized care make all the difference in creating a positive and empowering birth experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for thoughtful and holistic birth support!
Beth and her team are professional, empathetic, progressive, experienced, culturally sensitive and a priceless addition to my birth team. Thank you Beth for being part of my motherhood journey 🙏
Beth is so kind and knowledgeable. She runs a great business and is very passionate about providing incredible care to her patients.
Heart Tones Birth Service is an exceptional organization, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been supported by them throughout my birth experience. From the beginning, Beth, the owner, played a vital role in ensuring we felt confident and prepared in choosing the right doula for us. She took the time to meet with me personally, listen to my needs, and help me understand the services they offer. Her thoughtful approach made it easy to feel comfortable with the process, and I truly appreciated the freedom to choose the doula who would be the best fit for our family. This flexibility, along with Beth’s attention to detail, made the entire experience feel deeply personalized. Additionally, Heart Tones offers financial support through scholarships, which made this vital service a reality for us. I will forever be grateful for this assistance, as it made all the difference in being able to receive the exceptional care we needed. When it came time to choose a doula, Jorie was the perfect fit for us. I can’t say enough good things about her and the incredible support she provided during my labor and delivery. From the moment she arrived, her easy-going personality put both my husband and me at ease. She took the time to truly understand our needs and goals, and it was clear she was fully invested in helping us have the best birth experience possible. Jorie was a calming presence throughout the entire process. She was attentive and intuitive, knowing exactly when to offer support, whether it was emotional, physical, or through helpful resources that gave me confidence as I prepared for labor. She read the room perfectly, always knowing when to step in with the right tools and techniques, often before I even knew what I needed. Jorie did everything from things like reminding me to eat to providing pain relieving massage techniques to instructing me on positions to move my labor along. The photos and videos she took during my labor are irreplaceable memories for my husband and I. What really stood out to me was her ability to balance humor, steadiness, and kindness. The whole experience could have been overwhelming, but with Jorie by our side, it felt much more manageable and even enjoyable when labor was at its most difficult point. Her support was invaluable, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything she did for us. Our daughter Reina had a rough entry into this world and emotions were high. We had decided prior to me giving birth that my husband would go with our daughter if anything happened, which unfortunately it did. Jorie stayed with me and provided much needed emotional and physical support while my husband went with my daughter to the NICU. I truly cannot thank her enough for being there during that time. If you’re looking for a doula who will truly be there for you, I highly recommend Jorie at Heart Tones Birth Service. The team at Heart Tones, led by Beth, is an outstanding resource for any family seeking care and support throughout their birth journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We are so grateful. We connected with Heart Tones during a very difficult time as extremely sleep-deprived parents to newborn twins. We are so glad we made the choice to invest in a few nights of overnight care. On each doula night, it was such a weight off our chest to be able to go to bed knowing that our babies would be cared for so that we could get some precious uninterrupted sleep! It truly made a difference in our quality of life as newborn parents, having a guaranteed full night of sleep every few days. While Karen, Jen, and Aleece are all amazing, Karen was the one we worked with primarily. She is so knowledgeable and experienced. She would even text on her off nights to answer our questions, give tips and advice, and just check in on the babies. I am so sad we don't get to work with her anymore now that our services are complete! Again we appreciate Heart Tones so much and we are so glad we found them when we did.
We loved having Alex as our doula. Our birth certainly was not what we had planned, but having Alex there for our questions and as a resource along the way was SO valuable. Her presence at our c-section and after was so calming. We hope to be lucky enough to have another little love in the future- and hope Alex would be apart of our journey!
Heart Tones was wonderful to work with! Beth is so incredibly kind and did a great job matching us with our doula Haley. We are forever grateful to have had Haley with us during our pregnancy, labor, and delivery. I felt so much more prepared for giving birth with the help and support of her. As an anxious, over analyzing person, I truly don’t know what I would have done without her! I highly recommend using Heart Tones and Haley, especially for your first birth! If I ever have a second, Haley will most certainly be asked to be by our side again!
For a new parent , having Beth as our doula made the process infinitely more digestible and positive. She was able to translate an overwhelming amount of information and helped facilitate our child’s delivery that I couldn’t have imagined what we would do without her.
I am forever grateful for Heart Tones Birth Services. After a necessary and isolating c-section during COVID and a traumatic ectopic pregnancy last year, I held a lot of fear throughout my recent rainbow pregnancy. Once we found out that baby was head down and that a VBAC was an option I started to embrace excitement about having the birth I’ve always wanted. Unfortunately, around the same time I was laid off so stress and uncertainty started to sink in but Beth helped us feel secure in asking for the support we needed and facilitated services at a rate we could afford. She introduced us to our doula, Isabelle, who was instrumental in working with me as I healed through so many aspects of womanhood and motherhood. My birth and postpartum experiences have been so positive this time around thanks to her. I hold an abundance of respect and thankfulness to Heart Tones for the role they played in my physical and mental health in my pregnancy, labor, and recovery.
Honestly not sure how we would’ve survived without Heart Tones and our sweet doulas! As first time parents, we were expecting to feel out of our element but what we weren’t expecting was to have such a tough start. I had some medical issues right after birth and a really tough recovery along with a return hospital stay. Our doulas, Meredith and Karen, gave us some stability and much needed sleep during such a difficult time. We did a few overnight shifts a week and it was a lifesaver. Being able to rest and recover at night while knowing our baby was safe with someone knowledgeable caring for him was such a relief. Both doulas were so sweet, supportive, and encouraging. I appreciated every time they would listen to my endless questions and talk through things - you really feel so cared for. I seriously can’t thank Heart Tones enough! We feel this was one of the best decisions we made in preparing for our new baby. Before our baby arrived, we were also able to take a Newborn Care class with Beth. I also can’t recommend this enough! My husband travels nonstop for work and trying to find a class that fit his schedule was impossible and becoming stressful. Beth was so amazing and did an in-home class for us. It was really important to both of us that we felt prepared and got to ask questions before becoming parents ourselves. This class was exactly what we needed and Beth was so kind and patient! We felt really empowered and relieved after. And I also loved that we were able to do everything through Heart Tones since we’d be using them postpartum too. If you’re looking for a postpartum doula team that feels like family, you have found the perfect one!
We felt supported and cared for throughout our pregnancy and delivery - and beyond! We loved our experience with Hearttones and recommend them to anyone looking for an empowering and supportive birth experience in Utah.
Beth and Heart Tones were incredibly helpful resources to us as we welcomed our first child. In preparing for the birth of our little one, Heart Tones provided lots of vetted resources and recommendations, in particular we heavily used the book lending library. When we were at the hospital in labor, one of the nurses commented how Beth was one of the best doulas she's ever worked with and clearly knew her way around a hospital and labor, specifically, supporting and helping the medical staff during our delivery. Personally, we had to make a lot of decisions on the fly that we weren't expecting during labor, my husband and I were so grateful to have Beth / Heart Tones there to help us consider and evaluate those choices. And post-partum, we are so grateful for the community of parents that Heart Tones brings together as well as the resources to navigate the early weeks of parenthood. We would highly recommend any expecting parents to partner with Heart Tones.
Jorie-Brae from Heart Tones was our birth doula and she was absolutely amazing! Her emotional and physical support during our first labor and delivery was invaluable. She helped keep us calm and grounded, even when things got a bit hectic in the final moments. Couldn't recommend Heart Tones and Jorie-Brae enough!
Meredith was an excellent, patient, loving, gentle presence during my labor. She is intuitive and present. She stayed by my side, rubbed my back, applied counter-pressure, answered my questions, guided my husband, and helped me rotate the baby and move him through the birth canal. She was amazing!
I can't recommend Heart Tones highly enough to anyone looking for a doula. My husband and I just welcomed our first child 3 weeks ago and had the absolute pleasure of getting to know and working closely with Haley as our doula. Beth hit the nail on the head when she recommended Haley for us - she was the perfect addition to our birth team. We felt extremely supported from the moment we first met with her and were lucky enough to have the birth of our dreams with her help! If you have been considering a doula, don't hesitate any longer - make the leap with Heart Tones! It was the best decision we made throughout our pregnancy journey and we will absolutely be using Haley & Heart Tones again in the future.
We are so happy with our experience with Jorie at Heart Tones! Originally, we were on the fence about hiring a birth doula, but in retrospect hiring Jorie was the most important choice we made in having a beautiful birth experience. The moment we met Jorie, we felt comfortable and excited to learn from her. Jorie’s calming presence and expertise helped us to navigate a very long labor process (40 hours). The prenatal visits really helped us to visualize the type of experience we hoped to have to bring our new baby into the world. My induction ended up taking a long time and Jorie was available and supportive through text the entire time. The first night of our hospital stay, Jorie transformed our hospital room into a spa-like experience, with electric candles, essential oils, and music. Nurses told me how different our room felt and that they liked to stay in our room a little longer to relax. Jorie’s presence gave my husband the opportunity to take walks, get coffee, and take breaks from the hospital. Looking back on the experience, we are both surprised at how peaceful and loving we were through what could have been a very stressful and scary experience. I’m so grateful that Heart Tones led us to work with Jorie!
We are so incredibly grateful for the women at Heart Tones who supported us through our recent miscarriage, specifically Beth and Meredith. Meredith was our assigned doula and she was a light to us during a very dark time. I hope to hire her again if we have a healthy pregnancy in the future. ❤️ I can't recommend this place enough.
We had an amazing experience with Heart Tones! We absolutely loved our doula, Haley. From the moment we first met her, we knew she was the support we wanted on our birthing journey. We cannot imagine navigating our birthing experience without her. She was incredibly present through the birth and insured that mama got settled before leaving. She was then very good at following up and making sure we had the postpartum support we needed.
Puedo decir que vale la pena. Me sentí súper acompañada en todo momento, confiada de saber que estaba con alguien con el conocimiento de todo lo que estába pasando en este momento y siempre con algo por hacer para ayudar ♥️
We had the most incredible experience with Heart Tones every single step of the way. Thanks to Heart Tones, we had the perfect match and chose Kortney to be our doula. She was absolutely incredible for us. Between all of our parental visits, her text support, to the big day — she really showed up for us. Kortney was an incredible team player with my husband and nurses and thanks for her efforts and support, we had such an incredible labor and delivery. Not many people get to say they had fun giving birth — but I really did! And a huge reason for that was because Kortney helped us prepare and talked so much out with us. We are endlessly grateful for her and Heart Tones. Another great thing about Heart Tones is their connection with the Birth Smarter classes. We learned so much from the Newborn Care and Postpartum classes. Highly recommend working with Heart Tones and choosing Kortney as your doula!
I have now worked with Beth and Heart Tones for both of my pregnancies and deliveries. I was very invested in having as calm and positive a birthing experience as possible. Working with Beth was amazing. She gave me the skills, the confidence, and the path towards the exact birth experience I wanted for myself. I will be eternally grateful to her and for the chance to work with her group. I can honestly say that my birthing experience was a dream come true and the most amazing experience OF MY LIFE. I know that a lot of this comes down to chance, but the support that she provided me was truly instrumental in manifesting this for myself. I would recommend her to anyone looking for loving and judgement-free support during their pregnancy and delivery.
We had a great experience with the staff at Heart Tones. Beth is an amazing doula and listener. The way she provides support creates a sense of calm and confidence and we were fortunate to have her at our daughter’s birth. Lucia and Jamie were awesome postpartum doulas. I knew I could trust them with our daughter right away and I really enjoyed their company.
We used Heart Tones (specifically Jamie) as our birth doula for our second child and cannot recommend them enough. Jamie's support during pregnancy - especially the last few weeks - and labor was invaluable. She was our advocate and provided guidance and hands-on support during an intense labor, helping us have a magical birth experience. I am a huge proponent of hiring a birth doula and highly recommend Heart Tones!
We used Heart Tones and Beth Hardy for our birth doula and it was truly the best decision we made around our birth. She was so incredibly helpful leading up, making us feel as prepared and confident as possible going into an unknown situation. When it came time for our actual labor and delivery, we wouldn't have wanted to do it without Beth. She was our sounding board, supporter, advocate, and she made both me and my husband feel safe during all the twists and turns. I truly couldn't recommend working with Beth and Heart Tones more wholeheartedly!
Heart Tones Birth Services offers superb support to people at all stages of the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum experience. My assigned doula (Dez) was knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive. As a first time mother, having an experienced and friendly face in the delivery room made all the difference. Her services during the days leading up to my child’s birth and during delivery were more than worth every penny. She also visited me postpartum with gifts and a detailed and typed summary of my birth experience. It was a hour by hour timeline of what happened during my labor and delivery. The summary is an awesome resource for me during postpartum and as I think about potential future pregnancies and births. It is also a meaningful gift to my family to help us remember my child’s birth story. Beyond working with Dez, I also appreciated the kindness and wisdom of Beth Hardy, the owner of Heart Tones Birth Services. Beth’s passion for birth work shines through. She stayed in touch during my pregnancy and was always willing to answer questions and make suggestions. If you are considering working with a doula to prepare for your birth, I unreservedly recommend the awesome and passionate Heart Tones team.
Hiring Heart Tones for a birth doula was the best decision and investment we made during pregnancy. Beth, who happened to be our doula, and her team are just incredible. Having Beth at our side for my very long and challenging labor made all of the difference. She offered advice, support, encouragement and direction. Since this was my first pregnancy and labor, every turn was terrifying but having her and her expertise there eased my nerves. In addition to having Beth as our birth doula, we also had two incredible postpartum doulas to help adjust to life with a new baby. To be honest, I can’t say enough great things about Heart Tones - they have just been life changing to work with.
Picture this.... your wife is exhibiting the first hint of labor pains and you immediately rushing to the nearest hospital, leaving your car in the loading zone (to be towed) arguing with the ER intake person to get your partner in IMMEDIATELY whilst frantically pacing to and fro. All the while your partner's contractions are 38 mintues apart and she was doing just fine until your emergency room antics. You are now carless and stuck in the ER waiting room for the next 3 hours. You left the front door unlocked and the ramen is burning on the stove.......My wife and I were able to avoid all of these shenanigans with the helpful guidance of Beth and the Heart Tones team. All jokes aside it was a truly enlightening and enjoyable experience. I am thankful that my wife pushed me to explore the Doula option. I didn't know what I didn't know at the time, and had I not listened to her I would have caused my pregnant partner a lot of unnecessary stress. We received practical, applicable prenatal comfort tactics, helpful postpartum tips, and advice to help us (me) manage expectations during birth in a comfortable group setting. I am now ready to do it all over again! Seriously. Highly Recommend!
This is our second time working with Heart Tones, this time for postpartum doula help instead of birth doula help. We hired McKayla and Jamie for 2 weeks of postpartum help, both overnight and day shifts. The overnight shifts were literally heaven, being given that time to sleep was priceless (even if it was a paid service). McKayla also meal prepped for me so I had nutritious healing foods ready for me. Both McKayla and Jamie were so kind and honestly right off the bat easy to trust with my newborn and my home. They treated my baby like she was their own and treated me like family with so much care. We had an exceptional experience, yet again!
We are so thankful we had the support of Heart Tones, and Camille as our Doula. Her guidance and support ensured we were at peace with our birth before, during, and after no matter what we ended up having to navigate. Highly reccomend incorporating Heart Tones' Doulas into your birthing experience!
Misty was beyond amazing. They helped provide a peaceful environment and provided me with wonderful coping mechanisms. I could not be more thankful for Misty, if you’re questioning if you need a doula or not do it.
Camille made our birth experience better than it could have ever been without her. Her compassion, calm, and dedication made an incredibly important moment in our lives all the more special. For thirteen hours, Camille provided care and emotional support at a level that was truly inspiring. We are so thankful.
Working with Heart Tones was one of the best decisions we made around the birthing experience. We worked primarily with Camille, who was really amazing and we cannot recommend her enough. We are first time parents, and Camille was such a great resource for helping us prepare for birth. She was also great at involving my partner in the conversation. One thing that was really important for both of us was cultural competency and understanding around pregnancy and postpartum practices, and Camille was really understanding and knowledgeable. When things did not go exactly to plan, Camille was essential in making sure that we knew that we had options, that our opinions were heard, and she was a great advocate for us in the delivery room. We also worked with Dez during labor. Both Camille and Dez were extremely attentive to how my labor was progressing and taking detailed notes when things were happening. They were essential to helping me feel supported during birth. We had a wonderful experience working with Camille and Dez, and highly recommend working with them!
Lucia was our doula for what ended up being a long and intense birth. She supported us through the whole process and most importantly, she made sure my husband and I had space to talk when we were faced with some difficult decisions on how to proceed. We didn't know Lucia for very long before my birth but she made all of us feel comfortable. She did the same in our postpartum visit when she showed up to our house, made us lunch, did our dishes and fed our baby without asking. Everything we needed help with in that moment but didn't necessarily know how to ask for it. I would absolutely recommend Lucia as a birth doula! We were grateful to have her.
I am being grateful that I chose to work with Heart Tones and had the chance to have Camille as my doula. While all births are unpredictable, I was able to have the birth I wanted thanks to her. I planned to go unmedicated but during my labor, I got really close to asking for pain relief. Camille help me work through the pain and be the voice I needed at the hospital when I was unable to speak. She advocated for me, and knew what I needed when I needed it. She was able to support my partner and help him support me. I don’t know how to fully express how grateful I am to her and all the support she gave us. I will forever have a beautiful memory of my birthing experience thanks to her.
Beth was my doula and I’m so happy that she was part of my support team. She came to my house twice prior to my birth and helped me feel confident going into the process. She is so knowledgeable and very well connected in the SLC birth community so she was super helpful anytime I needed a recommendation for something. She came to my house the morning I went into labor and made so many helpful suggestions for positions and coping mechanisms until we we collectively decided it was time to go to the birth center. When my birth plans were forced to evolve after 24 hours of labor, she helped me feel comfortable and communicate my desires at the hospital. She also was a great support person for my partner. I’d highly recommend Beth and her team.
We are so pleased with the education and support we received from our doula, Erin! We received open and affirming care which was so helpful during this process. During the birth, our doula was attentive, thoughtful, and mindful of our needs. She helped us navigate the decisions as they came without trying to sway us one way or another. While the doula we worked with is moving out of state, I feel confident that Heart Tones hires, trains, and supports quality doulas and I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again!
Heart Tones is the best! I had a very positive birth experience and my doula, Lucia, was a huge part of that. The support that she provided during labor was invaluable and I could not have done it without her. Working with a group like Heart Tones also gave me peace of mind that a back-up doula would be available should baby not stick to the schedule :). Beth and her team are true professionals and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
When my partner and I moved from the Bay Area to Salt Lake City halfway through my pregnancy, I was worried about finding a queer & trans-informed birth team. My worries were quickly put to rest once I found Heart Tones! Beth found us the perfect match in Camille, who made us feel safe, heard, and comfortable from the start. Camille prepared us with so many invaluable tools, and when the day came I felt confident and ready for an unmedicated home birth knowing I had her support. I’ll be forever grateful for the way she helped carry my partner and I through that beautiful day — she was a huge piece in making my birth the magical, transformative experience that I dreamed it would be. The community in Salt Lake City is so lucky to have a doula agency like Heart Tones!
We worked with Heart Tones for the birth of our first child and would strongly recommend them to anyone. We interviewed many different doulas, from individuals to groups, and found that Heart Tones' approach, systems, and backup doulas made them the right choice for us. They took our concerns very seriously, and we knew we could trust them on such an important day. We specifically worked with Camille, who was caring and empathetic while carrying the confidence of someone with years of experience. She was very available when we had any questions and always made sure we were advocating for our birthing preferences with our OB/GYN. When she was going to be out of town for a few days, Beth stepped in as our backup doula, even meeting with us virtually ahead of time so that we had some familiarity with each other in the event of early labor. During labor, Camille was a great support and advocate for us. She helped us to make informed decisions by letting us know our options in various situations, even if all options had not been presented to us by the hospital. She was also a great thought partner when we were deciding whether to deviate from our birth plan. Camille was incredibly patient and positive, despite the very long labor, for which we were grateful. After 24 hours of labor, Heart Tones had another doula step in (Lucia) who brought fresh energy and was equally as competent and caring as Camilla. She helped see us through to the birth and though we had never met, her warm demeanor immediately made us feel at ease. As she began checking in with us, providing support, and talking through options; we quickly felt comfortable and confident in her care. Overall, we couldn't imagine going through that process without a doula, and everyone at Heart Tones went above and beyond to make the birth of our child as smooth and positive as possible. We highly recommend them to anyone, especially new parents looking for guidance through the birthing process.
I am beyond grateful for Heart Tones Birth Services and my doula, Lucia Killian. She was very responsive and quickly met me for a consultation call that accommodated my schedule. From the very instant we connected Lucia was a calm presence, a great listener, and gave me helpful information. I was anxious for my birth and felt excitement for the first time when Lucia went over birthing plans, positions and options. Lucia provided a comprehensive overview, discussed choices, and helped me come up with a birth plan. She stayed in touch through emails and text. The day of the birth, Lucia went above and beyond in providing support. She came down to the hospital to support me when I asked, even though I was no where close to giving birth! I felt like she had my back and was on my team. She also provided invaluable support to my partner. Lucia was there immediately once my labor did start progressing. She was our rock during every step of the intensive labor process. She helped me adjust when things needed to be changed. Lucia had this incredible balance of helping me make choices, then process feelings about choices and non-choices, and then encourage and reassure me and take away any shame or regret. My birth did not go as expected and Lucia was such a helpful, safe spot in the whole experience. She captured the joy of my daughter’s appearance into the world as we had asked with pictures and videos. And then she went above and beyond when things got difficult! I will forever be grateful for her comforting me, talking to me, and being there for my baby and partner as well. It meant so much to have her follow up with us to process our birth and provide the most helpful resources. I would emphatically encourage anyone considering a doula to assist in their birth experience to do it and am so grateful Heart Tones provided such an invaluable service and matched me with Lucia.
We are so grateful for Lucia and Heart Tones. Lucia helped us feel informed and prepared, and she was instrumental during and after my labor -- incredibly attentive and a reassuring, calming presence who knew just what to do and ask at every moment. She is so skilled. I also appreciated the Heart Tones lending library.
We had a great experience with Erin Park from Heart Tones leading up to and throughout our labor and delivery process. She was an outstanding partner and advocate, and totally exceeded our expectations. We felt very well educated and prepared leading up to the delivery and well supported throughout our complex delivery. She was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and a great communicator. We very highly recommend Erin and Heart Tones!
Beth and her team at Heart Tones gave my wife and me the opportunity to have the birth support we always dreamed of having. Her scholarship gifted us with the affordability to work with our amazing doula Camille who was queer-informed, knowledgeable, warm, and the exact support person we needed to have an incredible home birth. We were so privileged and honored to be chosen for this scholarship opportunity during a transitory time when we were unable to afford the full fee to hire a doula for the birth of our daughter Shanti. Because of the Heart Tones scholarship granted to us by Beth and the support of Camille, our doula, we truly were able to have a life-changing birth experience made perfect by the people we were surrounded by. We will forever be grateful to Heart Tones for their generosity. We literally could not have done it without them.
Working with heart tones was invaluable in our birth experience. No matter the birth plan you have, I would recommend a heart tones doula! We worked with Camille who was incredible. The most valuable thing to me was how she involved my partner in the preparation and birth. She educated him on what to expect, what I’d be going through, and how to constructively contribute. She coached us into being a strong birth team without the resentment/frustration/anger you commonly hear about in partners. This helped us leave the birth experience as a team ready to care for our equally adorable and demanding baby. Camille was a great communicator and really helped us work through some tough decisions when my labor required a change in our plans. Her clarity in those tense moments was everything! We also took a birth class through birth smarter which was facilitated by Beth. We learned so much and gained a group of parent-friends who are going through the same phases as us. Hiring a heart tones doula is the best early decision you can make to set your family up for success! We will absolutely be using them again in the future!
When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted a doula. I spent a lot of time researching and doing interviews. I met Beth and Chelsea and I felt immediate connection. They are so kind, understanding and I felt like I could be completely honest about my feelings and past experiences. I had a rough pregnancy and lots of unexpected things happen. Beth and Chelsea were with me every step of the way. I will always feel like they are close friends, even a couple years after giving birth. Heart Tones birth is amazing, inclusive, and an amazing support. Don’t hesitate to partner with them. ❤️
I loved working with Heart Tones doulas (I used Lucia and she is the best and if there are more children in my future, I'll still be using her!) for my first birth. I was happy to have a first informational call with a doula to make sure that it was for me; my doula and I hit it off and we hired her. Throughout my pregnancy she checked in with me, provided resources to help keep me comfortable, shared evidence based articles (which I loved because I am researcher), and more! Having access to the lending library was great as well, as there are SO many books it's easy to get lost in which ones to read. She was great at connecting with my partner and easing any concerns he had and helped him to feel comfortable in the process. During her visits she made us feel at ease and prepared for birth. During birth she was instrumental in helping me navigate and understand my options. I wouldn't want to have gone through birth without her! So happy to have Lucia as a part of our birth team; she made sure we were able to work together in a way that made birth a wonderful experience for us all (even through the unpredictability and challenges of birth). We felt loved and cared for, and that is priceless to us. Cannot recommend Lucia enough as a doula or the Heart Tones team!
We have had a great experience with Heart Tones, this was our first baby, so we had a lot of questions that the doulas were able to help out with a ton. The overall birth experience ended up being a lot less difficult and stressful than we imagined and a huge part of that was the preparation that we had going into it.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Lucia and Heart Tones Birth Services. Lucia is warm and kind and we instantly formed a connection. Having her support throughout pregnancy provided so much comfort and confidence that I could have a fulfilling birth experience. She was always great at communicating which is something I really appreciated. Having her at the birth was essential for me and my family. I’m so grateful that I chose Heart Tones and had Lucia as my doula!
Having Beth as our Doula was definitely the best choice we made as far as preparation for the delivery went. My wife left her own review, so I will just say that from my point of view (the husband that feels helpless while my wife is in so much pain) having Beth there relieved a massive amount of anxiety for me. I would have felt completely lost without her. Beth was with us for 24+ hours during the labor, and during the more calm times she went out and got me lunch and dinner so I was able to stay by my wife's side the entire time. She was also a great advocate for us when we had to make decisions, helping explain things clearly and concisely and making us feel supported in whichever decision we made. All the services she provided before and after the actual labor were also amazing and full of great tools and guidance, but for me, the labor portion alone was worth the cost.
We had the pleasure of working with Beth during our pregnancy & labor and we feel so lucky! She was there for me for all my questions prior to birth. She provided such great tools and options so we could feel educated, prepared and empowered for my pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Me and my husband felt so prepared and excited for the birth of our baby. She was such a huge support to us both throughout my whole labor. (Which was quite long). She really was there supporting me every single step of the way and I can’t imagine doing it without her!
My husband and I had the distinct opportunity to work with two Heart Tones doulas due to the duration of our birth and I could not have asked for a better team. We worked closely with Lucia throughout our pregnancy and most of our labor; not only she was knowledgeable and so supportive, it was like having an very good friend in the room at a time when I needed solid support and comfort. She was reading me and assessing my needs at every turn especially when things did not go accordingly to our plan. When our birth passed the 24+ hour mark, Misty jumped right in to help us make informed decisions and restore my husband and my energy levels for the home stretch. She ensured our transition to maternal care was smooth. All in all, I am incredibly grateful for the compassion and skillset of these two and highly recommend them for any future parents to be!
Beth did an amazing job. We had the initial call where we gave her a lot of our ideas. She came back with a first draft that was almost perfect. Then we made a few refinements and it was already to go. We usually play it at least 1-2x per day our little one. This is a great gift!
Last year my friend recommended me to Heart Tones Birth Services after I got pregnant. I always knew that I wanted to have a doula when I had a baby and I'm so thankful I was referred to them! If you are looking for a doula service look no further! I can't speak highly enough for my overall care and support from Chelsea and Beth throughout my pregnancy, during birth, and postpartum. Every step of the way I was provided information, tools, and words of encouragement to prepare me for labor and my ultimate birth plan. I went in with the hopes of having a natural birth and ended up choosing an epidural while at the hospital. I can 100% attest that having a doula no matter your birth plan is essential. Having a doula there to help me feel empowered in my decisions was so helpful. The doulas at Heart Tones will be your best advocates and teammates no matter who you are and what kind of birth experience you hope to have. Thank you, Chelsea and Beth!
As a first time mom, I had no idea what I was going in to. My husband didn’t even know what a doula was before we met with Bre from Heart tones. We now both say we wouldn’t have been as comfortable as we were without her. She was with us every step of the way through a surprise induction. I can honestly say my birth was fun, and that is all thanks to Bre. She helped me carry my laughter through the entire process, helping me feel safe, supported and understood through the entire process. Best doula in Salt Lake City!
I cannot recommend Beth and her Heart Tones team enough! We weren't sure what to expect with a doula, but thought we could just use the support of an extra person during the delivery. However, Beth turned out to be so much more. The prenatal meetings really prepared us for the pregnancy and birth process. She was a crucial part of the team at the hospital, and actually made some recommendations to the hospital staff that ensured our baby was born safely. We are so grateful to her
Beth was incredible! She provided instruction before the birth in coping techniques such as counter pressure and massage, walked us through developing a birth plan, and facilitated heathy conversation about our feelings and expectations about the birth. She was AMAZING during the birth asking wonderful questions, recording the birth story, providing relief with massage, and just generally being a positive, trusted source in the room. One of Beth’s recommendations also helped the birth progress, so we were able to avoid an unwanted intervention. I couldn’t recommend Beth more, we loved working with her throughout the process.
If only I could give Heart Tones more stars!! I looked at hiring a doula like this: all the research in the worlds and I’d still go in not sure what to expect, why not have someone with me that does. Professionally does. She guided me, listened to me, held my hand when I cried, validated me, answered every question, gave me advise through every phase, and most importantly empowered me to speak for myself to hospital staff. K not to mention rubbed my legs and feet for hours during contractions!!! I wholeheartedly believe that our birth story would’ve been a traumatic experience if it wasn’t for Beth. She is worth every penny, I even told her she’s worth more so I’d hire her before she listens to me. I love Beth and Heart Tones and I can’t say enough good things about my experience with her!
Our experience with Lena was wonderful! She feels like a lifelong friend now. Her knowledge and support was invaluable, particularly once labor began. We really enjoyed the prenatal appointments, as they helped us feel more confident about our birth and allowed us to get to know Lena better. Lena worked tirelessly my entire active labor, giving counter pressure, massage, verbal support and more. I know we went back and forth on whether we could afford a doula and now I can say it was the best decision we could have made. Thank you so much again for making this possible for us. We will forever be grateful for Heart Tones and will be sure to refer all our friends your way.
Beth and Chelsea were outstanding and contributed to a positive birth experience. This was our second birth utilizing a doula service and their unique "duo" approach was beneficial in easing a lot of concerns about the unreliable timing related to birth and just general life. Most importantly, Chelsea (on call for our birth) was immensely helpful! She had a lot of experience at the U hospital and knew a bunch of tricks that helped us be more comfortable. She'd proactively make requests in alignment with our expectations and really surprised us with her overall helpfulness. We definitely recommend their birth services.
Beth and Chelsea are incredible. Their knowledge and support are second to none. I felt so empowered, supported and educated throughout my pregnancy and birth. Their postpartum support has really been so helpful as well! My labor was so comfortable and manageable because of them. Beth made early labor feel spa-like and serene, and Chelsea’s coaching through pushing was immensely helpful. They were both so attentive to my husband as well, allowing him to focus on being the best partner he can be. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. From tips and techniques for pain management during pregnancy and labor, a library of books to check out, an inclusive mindset and scholarship program, and their sensitive and client-focused approach, Chelsea and Beth offer so much.
Beth and Chelsea were lifesavers not only during the birth of our second child, but in the early postpartum phase as well. Our family faced a unique situation: on top of Covid regulations complicating the birth experience in general, we also have an older child who needed care, and one parent who can't drive...and we were very new to town, without family or close friends who could lend a hand. Needless to say we were at our wits' end trying to prepare for the birth. Not only did Beth and Chelsea exceed our expectations for birth care, they were also willing to include more off-the-beaten-path forms of assistance in the postpartum stage, including help with childcare dropoffs. I would recommend their services in a heartbeat because, above all, they are caring individuals who bring true humanity and understanding to their clients. I truly don't know what we would have done without this help, and our family will always be grateful. For those expecting a more "normal" doula experience, I would also recommend them based on their sheer skill. Again, this is not only in labor and delivery (though I'm not sure how I would have survived an extremely rapid labor sans epidural without Beth's strong hands providing counter-pressure), but also in our conferences beforehand, where both Beth and Chelsea made their practice and their values clear in the sensitive questions they asked about OUR values, as well as our past experiences, our needs and desires, our boundaries, and so on. I'm usually very much an "if you want something done, do it yourself" kind of person, and approached childbirth that way the first time around; how I wish I had been in a position to have this kind of help and support then, too. If you're wondering whether hiring a doula is worth it, then, the answer is YES...and if you're wondering whether to hire these specific doulas, the answer is also, YES!
Where to even begin?! From the moment my husband and I met Beth and Chelsea we knew we wanted to work with them. They are both so warm, loving and supportive of all parties involved in the birthing process. We felt like we were in such caring, knowledgeable and capable hands throughout my pregnancy, through delivery and postpartum. Both Beth and Chelsea are there to help every step of the way. I know if it weren’t for them, I would not have been as confident in the delivery room. Having that hands-on support in such an emotional moment was necessary to help me stay level and make the decisions that were best for me! As for their postpartum services, I cannot express just how crucial they were during such a fragile time! They helped me feel human after having my baby, and truly helped with whatever I and my husband needed without judgement! If you are looking for a doula duo, I cannot recommend Heart Tones Birth Services enough! The best money we’ve ever spent, and truly some of the best people we’ve ever met! We love you Beth & Chelsea!
Beth and Chelsea are outstanding doulas and really just incredible people. I knew I wanted a doula to help me throughout my first labor and delivery. I went with Heart Tones, not only because of their skill in the work of being birth attendants, but for their tight organization and flexibility with offerings during COVID. They kept me on track with our conversations before I had the baby (which was a burden off my shoulders) and I knew they'd be there when I went into labor. My labor ended up being different than I expected (isn't every labor?) 🙂 But I had to get induced and I was able to talk to them about that decision before I solidified it with my care team-- that made me feel better. Then, although I had envisioned a medication-free delivery, I ended up getting an epidural after a very long induction. It was still very worthwhile to have Beth there, helping us weigh the pros and cons of our decisions, as well as providing physical support at the hospital before I got the epidural. When it was time for me to start pushing, Chelsea was there with us and also leant her skills, calming presence, and support. 100% worth it. And then I still needed a C-section. But I knew that I'd done all the preparation I could, I'd had all the support I needed, and I felt confident that that was the path my baby and I were taking. No guilt, just joy. And the support from our doulas was critical to that. They are both excellent doulas while you're laboring, but they also provide so much more -- before you have the baby, and after. Highly recommend!
Beth and Chelsea are compassionate, knowledgeable, and just plain lovely. They treated me and my husband as equal partners, making sure both of us received all of the answers we needed to feel prepared for labor and delivery. Chelsea attended our birth and I can’t imagine bringing my little Finley into the world without her there. She was an invaluable part of my care team and if we have another baby in the future, I hope her or Beth are there again. They were incredibly communicative and flexible during covid, too!
We couldn't have asked for a better team of doulas to work with as we prepared for and gave birth to our first baby! Beth and Chelsea are compassionate, informative, genuine, and are full of knowledge and guidance for anyone wanting doula support. We never knew there were so many choices to make in preparing to give birth and they both were so helpful in providing information so we could make decisions that were right for us. Beth and Chelsea helped us navigate the hospital system during COVID and we were lucky enough to have them help us at home and at the hospital during various stages. They have a relationship with the midwife team that we had been working with for our prenatal care and delivery and we were so grateful that our two teams (midwives and doulas) were all so supportive. Due to COVID restrictions we were only allowed one support person (my partner) and one person from our doula team. It felt like having another family member there to cheer us on! Beth and Chelsea provided resources, books, videos, and referrals for anything we wanted and needed. We felt so comfortable working with both of them and would not have been as prepared or confident to give birth had it not been for their support. We highly recommend Beth and Chelsea for anyone considering doula services!
Words are not enough to express the love and gratitude we feel for Chelsea and Beth. Picking a Doula: Similar to many other first-time parents, my partner and I had no idea what to expect for pregnancy and the birthing process. There is so much to learn and it was often overwhelming...until we signed on with Heart Tones. I am so so glad that we chose to work with a doula and even more grateful that it was Beth and Chelsea. These two are the epitome of generous and empathetic educators - they were so patient and kind in prepping us for labor. Our prenatal appointments were some of my favorite moments - they helped us feel calm and confident about a the daunting nature of birth. Birthing Process: Heart Tones was one of the most beautiful parts of our birth - truthfully, I think our birthing process would have been much different without them. Beth was present for the early-to-mid stages of our labor and she was REMARKABLE. Both my partner and I underestimated the physical demands of counter pressure. She was tireless in her physical support during contractions and emotional support during my toughest moments. Without Beth's coaching, I think I would have opted for an epidural much earlier than I did, missing out on a hugely physical and spiritual process for me and my partner. Chelsea was present after I decided to get an epidural and her warm presence in the room was exactly what we needed. She was also an important advocate for the many decisions that follow an epidural. In the fog of birth, it's tough to make such big decisions and we're so glad she was there to keep us grounded. Once Baby arrived, she was incredibly helpful - she walked me through our first moments of breastfeeding which I think set us up for very successful feedings from the start. If you're considering a doula, you simply can't get better than these two. We feel so bonded to Beth and Chelsea - they are family!
My family and I can't say enough good things about Beth and Chelsea. I decided to hire them late in my pregnancy, at about 35 weeks. I was waffling about needing a doula because my husband, mother, and sister were going to be helping at the birth. We'd already taken a birth class. Did I really need a doula? YES! It was the best decision I could have made and I can't imagine having gone through the birth without them. This was my first baby and I was terrified. I developed pregnancy-induced hypertension and I had to be induced at 39 weeks. During our pre-labor visits, Beth and Chelsea made me feel calm and capable in a time when I was freaking out. During the birth, their presence was a consistent, calming comfort. They helped with many things, from positioning to helping me think through decisions. They also took the pressure off of my family to be the perfect birth partners, so they could take breaks and feel their own emotions. Everyone was so grateful that they were there. Having both of them was a big bonus. I was in labor for about 24 hours and it was nice to have a "fresh doula." I love that their business model allows them to have their own self care and get rest. Chelsea did stay longer than 12 hours because she helped for a couple of hours after the birth. I hope to have another baby in a couple of years and will certainly use Heart Tones again. Additionally, Beth wrote us a womb song for our baby. I highly recommend getting one. She is amazingly talented. She interviewed us about what we'd like it to say, and that was a lovely, bonding experience for my husband and I. Beth wrote the most beautiful song ever! I tear up every time I sing it to my baby boy, which is every day. We love you, Beth and Chelsea! Thank you for all that you do! Jessie, Ryan, Ari, Caitlin, Tom, and Arlene
Where do I even begin?! This was by far the best decision of my pregnancy as well as the best money I have ever spent. Hands down! Not only did my husband and I have continued support throughout our pregnancy, we had someone exclusively on our team and on our side as first time parents when we went into labor over week early. Firstly, having Beth and Chelsea come to our home for our own personal “birthing classes” was amazing! Yes we took the usual classes through the hospital as well, but having 1:1 interaction with our own squad made us feel more confident about what to expect. Between the two of them, they brought tons of experience, examples and techniques that we could utilize. We did the 3 sisters of balance throughout my entire pregnancy and I feel strongly that helped my labor come naturally, fast and put baby in the right position. Also, two is better than one! When we went into labor I sent our group text saying I thought it was false labor. Chelsea was on call first and called me immediately after seeing the timing of what I thought was BH and said to get some rest and get ready for baby. She knew before I did that things were moving fast and this was all happening. She told us exactly what to do next, when to call her, when to go to the hospital, etc. Beth Unfortunately had the flu at the time and wasn’t going to make it, so having two doulas available was crucial. We didn’t have to ever risk being alone and knew we’d have someone with us no matter what. Once we got to the hospital Chelsea stayed with us for hours while we walked around waiting to be admitted. She talked me down when I got upset, she helped me feel comfortable with the poking and prodding and tons of questions I didn’t know how to answer. She helped my husband support me during contractions so that he could hold me up and she could apply counter pressure. I honestly couldn’t have done it without her. Once we were admitted she stayed right next to me so my husband could take the time to rest and made sure I was comfortable and felt safe and secure. Labor was a whirlwind, but she was right there the entire time. She never spoke for me but instead helped me to feel comfortable enough to speak up for myself after talking with her and my husband about our options. We had some scary moments during the labor itself but she was calm and supportive throughout. Once our baby was here, she made sure we were successfully latching and on our way to breastfeeding before she gave us hugs and let us enjoy our new baby as a new family. A few days later, Beth stopped by for our postpartum visit and made sure we were all doing well. They’ve both stayed in touch with us since as I had tons of questions on healing, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, etc. whatever I needed, they made sure to help me figure it out or point me in the direction of a specialist who could provide more specific guidance. Sorry for the long post, I just can’t say enough about how positive my entire experience was. Chelsea was absolutely incredible on D day and I will keep her and Beth in my heart forever for how much support they provided us along the way. Book them, you’ll be so happy you did!! XO
Great doulas and wonderful humans all together with hearts to serve you! Thank you Chelsea and Beth for dropping in regularly, and the recent visit where you brought delish chocolate treats! All my love. Melissa, Birth Journey
Beth was my doula and I would recommend her to anyone who is pregnant but especially to LGBTQ+ folks. Beth connected us to affirming resources in our community and advocated for us every step of the way. I was a pregnant transman and it was such a relief to have a dedicated ally whom I didn't have to educate. She was invaluable and if we ever decide to have another baby then we will be sure to call Beth.
I had Beth as my doula! She is compassionate, caring, and affirming. Would totally recommend Heart Tones Birth!! You need a doula in your corner for your birth and Beth and co. are the ones for the job.
From our initial prenatal visits to our labor and delivery experience and postpartum visit, Beth Hardy was an irreplaceable resource to enable a confident and ecstatic birth. In addition to her fountain of birthing knowledge, Beth also has unique gifts with the music, touch/massage, and creation of space that she brought to our labor and delivery. She showed up for us within 30 minutes of calling her in the middle of the night with early labor onset and tirelessly endured the next 24 hours of our labor process, providing intuitive, hands-on support to shepherd us through the hours prior to delivery and thereafter. She was an awesome resource for grounded discussion during moments of decision making for various interventions and served as an advocate with hospital staff to assure optimal communication. Where our preconceived ideas of "the ideal birth experience" and interventions involved had to shift given the unique circumstances of our delivery (as they likely do with most), my husband and I emerged from our son's birth feeling that we had still been gifted the most ecstatic birthing experience and most joyous day of our lives we could imagine. Beth was fundamental to this in the affirmation, wisdom, calm, and support that she brought to the whole process. She was our grounded and loving guide through a most charged liminal space, assuring a confident and euphoric emergence into our new life as parents. We would recommend her beyond measure.
