Childbirth education
you can’t predict, but you can prepare
Just how does a baby get from the inside of the body to the outside? What makes the uterus contract, anyway? How can my partner be a great hands-on support person, and not just stand there like a deer in headlights while I’m pushing a baby out? And WTF is a mucous plug?
If you’re getting closer to your due date and suddenly thinking to yourself, “wait, I’m actually going to have to give birth to a baby. Like, a real baby. There’s no going back now. And I don’t even know what I don’t know!” then a childbirth class is going to be game changing for you.
In partnership with Birthsmarter, Beth teaches unbiased, inclusive pregnancy + parenting classes for the next generation of families. In our signature weekend or weeknight childbirth series, you will learn the Birthsmarter 3 Actions of Birth, the 5 Partner Responsibilities, and most importantly, you will learn how to think critically about your individual context and how to make decisions that are right for you during labor. Birth is inherently somewhat unpredictable, and while you can’t dictate exactly how it will go, you can be better prepared to navigate the experience as it unfolds.
