Birth + postpartum doula

Lucia is a certified birth + postpartum doula whose passion is connecting with people. When she was a teenager, Lucia asked her mom what she thought her 'skills' were to which her mom replied, "You are a great friend!" Immediately, Lucia moaned, "That won't get me into college!" Many years later, after having a doula at her own birth, she truly started to understand how her passion of finding connection with people could actually turn into a perfect career fit.

The arrival of a new baby is filled with many emotions and new experiences and Lucia absolutely loves helping families navigate this transition. She strives to do this by being a solid support throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Whether that comes in the form of a listening ear, providing space and options in decision making, hands on support or suggesting resources in our community, she wants to ensure her clients always feel taken care of. Additionally, Lucia is trained to support clients having a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and has also taken advanced trainings to support families with pregnancy and infant loss. She has supported families as they welcome twins, babies with special needs and couples who have used IVF. In her spare time, she loves to hike in the mountains, go camping with her family and enjoy a good yerba mate!
