My favorite thing about being a doula is:
Witnessing the physiological birth process and what women can do; women’s bodies are just the coolest! And watching partners caring for their loved ones and transitioning to parenthood, it never gets old.

Hi there, I'm Meredith! I'm a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified perinatal patient advocate, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 8, 6 and 4. I love everything about the menstrual cycle--hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. I love teaching women (and families) how to use their cycle to balance their lives (and their hormones) and accomplish their goals for growing their family, or not.
But birth has a special place in my heart. I came to birth work on a Thursday afternoon driving home from my Human Resources job. I was complaining about my job to my sister, and my sister’s response was, “you should go be a doula.” What’s a doula? After my sister explained what a doula does, a voice inside me said, “I was born to do that.” I was in doula training the next month and I've never looked back. I love being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process.
I specialize in supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of my clients have great results from my support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it. I'm passionate about families knowing their options, preparing well, and tapping into the spiritual nature of the birth process to create an empowering experience. Additionally, I excel at assisting families to set up healthy rhythms for maximized nighttime sleep, feeding and bonding postpartum.
When I'm not busy with birth work, you can find me playing with my children, planning events or my next trip, cleaning my house (I love to clean!) or studying the menstrual cycle and practicing my coaching skills.
