In the fog of birth, it's tough to make such big decisions, and we're so glad she was there to keep us grounded. Once baby arrived, she was incredibly helpful - she walked me through our first moments of breastfeeding, which I think set us up for very successful feedings from the start."

My wife wanted a doula, and this seemed like the time to be supportive, so I went with it. Once we met our doula, I warmed to her immediately. She had tons of good info, and I never got any kind of judgy vibe from her. Our meetings before the birth all went well, and I was glad we had hired her, for my wife's peace of mind if nothing else.
